This is a beautifully restored classic Corvette with some very
desirable upgrades. It has a reliable GM crate motor, air
conditioning and electric assist power steering.
EXTERIOR: This is the "classic" Corvette fully trimmed with chrome,
white wall tires and side coves. I didn't find any body damage. The
Inca silver is laid out evenly. The clear coat is extra glossy, it
looks like it was dipped in clear and polished smooth. The chrome
and trim shines brightly. Up front the bumpers and grill look like
they've been rechromed, new center emblem. The side moldings look
new. In back the bumpers have been rechromed, emblem replaced. It
has reproduction hubcaps with the spinners on reproduction
Firestone whitewall tires. All new Coffman convertible assembly.
New frame, weather strips and black top. Jambs are glossy, new
weatherstrips.
INTERIOR: The interior was restored using premium Al Knoch carpet,
door panels and seats. The dash pads were replaced. The original
gauges were rebuilt and function properly. Upgraded with a retro
Am-Fm wonderbar radio. Under the dash is a $1500 electric power
steering assist on the column. It has a 3 spoke polished woodgrain
steering wheel. The shift bezel is all new, has correct reverse
lockout shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: New, very reliable GM crate 350-290 hp motor.
It has aluminium intake, chromed dual feed Quick Fuel carb, and HEI
ignition. Dressed up with chrome valve covers and reproduction air
cleaner. New aluminium radiator. New hood latch assembly. The
battery is new. It runs cool with a new aluminium radiator, flex
fan and the proper shroud. The passengers are kept comfortable
thanks to a new heat and air conditioning system.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The fiberglass is smooth and painted very
neatly. It has a new rear seat divider, plywood tire lid, rubber
mat, weather strip and latches.
UNDERSIDE: It is exceptionally clean under this car. The frame is
solid, smooth metal painted black. The fibreglass floors are clean.
The front end has new bushings and shocks. Looking up at the motor
it still looks brand new including the fuel pump and the starter.
It has a T-10 4 speed transmission. It looks clean, the linkage
looks fresh. The brakes have been redone, new brake lines and
hoses. The emergency brake cables are hooked up. New shocks in
back. The dual exhaust system looks brand new.
This is a slick looking Corvette built to drive! Try finding one
that looks stock but has a/c, power steering and a GM crate
motor.
