1964 MALIBU SUPER SPORT CONVERTIBLE We just acquired this very nice
and very real (5867 VIN) 1964 Malibu SS Convertible from a car guy
out of West Virginia who, with admirable intentions, bought it for
his wife so she had something to drive to the local car shows and
cruise ins too. Well we all know how that obviously turned out.
Anyway..... CHECK IT OUT !!
According to the receipts we got with the car it was restored in
2015 and looking at the trim tag it was redone back to original
colors and specs. It has a super straight, solid & clean body,
trunk, floors & frame and beautiful Ember Red paint that we just
cut, buffed & polished it to a show car shine. It has very nice
chrome & trim and new weather stripping too. The white power
convertible top is in like new condition with a clear back window
and it works as it should. The original ''Ivory'' bucket seat
interior was completely redone new and looks like it just rolled
off the show room floor. VERY NICE ! Powered by it's original
numbers matching ''JD'' 283c.i.-195h.p. 2bbl. engine that was
upgraded with an original steel GM 4bbl. intake and Q-Jet 4bbl.
carb. The engine appeared to have been rebuilt, it runs super
smooth and sounds really good. It is backed by a 2 speed
power-glide automatic transmission and 10 bolt open rear.
Other features and options include:
cold ''dealer installed'' air conditioning
power steering
power disc brakes {front only}
original center console
AM radio
dual exhaust
new 15'' American Racing Torq-Thrust II wheels with new radial
tires.
Only 9559 V-8 Super Sport Malibu Convertibles built in 1964 making
this car a pretty rare find especially with being optioned up and
numbers matching. Don't Miss It! We just completed and full service
and detail so she is ready to enjoy
