Vehicle Description
When Ferrari introduced the new 550 Maranello in 1996, it marked
the first time in 23 years that a flagship Ferrari GT car had its
V12 engine in front of the driver. Nearly as soon as it broke
cover, fans hailed the 550 as the spiritual successor to the
legendary 365 GTB/4 Daytona and applauded Ferrari's return to its
roots. The public and the press delighted in its blend of tradition
with modern technology, reigniting the passion for the classic
front-engine V12 layout so integral to Ferrari's history. The 575
and 599 elevated the front-engine Ferrari to new performance
levels, and in 2012, Ferrari again moved the goalposts with its
all-new F12 Berlinetta. Replacing the outgoing 599, the F12
featured a new aluminum alloy spaceframe chassis developed in
partnership with Scaglietti, wrapped in a Pininfarina-designed body
with active and passive aerodynamics derived from the Formula 1
team. The naturally-aspirated 6.3-literTipo F140V12 produced an
eye-watering 730 horsepower at 8,200 RPM - a nearly 130 horsepower
boost over the 599 and even more potent than the track-only 599FXX.
The F12 was also slightly lighter and boasted 76% more downforce
than the 599. The impressive spec sheet included a 7-speed
dual-clutch gearbox, carbon-ceramic brakes with active cooling,
electronic differentials, ultra-quick steering, adjustable magnetic
suspension, and much more. Every aspect of the F12's astonishing
performance is accessible via the steering
wheel-mountedManettinodial, allowing it to switch from relaxed GT
to thundering hypercar at the twist of a knob. The F12 vanquishes
60 mph in 3 seconds, 120 mph in 8.5, and tops out at 211 miles per
hour, all while also cosseting occupants in a gorgeous,
leather-clad cockpit with a generous cargo area in the rear hatch.
Beautiful, brutal, and yet remarkably practical, the Ferrari F12
will surely leave an indelible mark in Ferrari lore for years to
come. The stunning F12 offered here is a superb one-owner example
with just 5,400 miles from new, presented in a beautiful
combination of Tour de France blue over Naturale leather trim. The
gorgeous metallic color is subtly accented with silver wheels and
brake calipers, balancing equal parts understatement and
aggression. As expected of a collector-owned example with such low
miles, this F12 is in superlative condition inside and out. The
extensive options list includes more than $56,000 in extras,
including the AFS system active headlamps, parking camera,
suspension lifter, diamond-stitched seats, Alcantara headlining,
and much more. Sold new by Continental Autosports in Chicago, it
has been maintained by their service department since day one.
Records show it received regular annual services, has had the
airbag recall sorted, and has approximately two years left on the
factory 7-year complimentary maintenance plan. Natural tan leather
provides a beautiful complement to the dark metallic blue
paintwork. The deeply sculpted seats are supremely comfortable for
long trips while also fully supportive for more aggressive driving.
The latest technology is featured, including the Manettino driving
mode selector, in-dash satellite navigation, and parking camera.
Gorgeous glove-soft leather seats feature Ferrari logo headrests,
and the blue leather-trimmed dash imparts a decidedly luxurious
character. The generously-sized cargo area is accessed via the rear
hatch, housing a complete set of optional fitted luggage
upholstered in matching tan leather. The sale also includes the
window sticker, service records, manuals, factory car cover, and
emergency tool kit. Finished in gorgeous colors and desirably
equipped with an impressive list of options, this F12 is an
outstanding example of Ferrari's astonishingly rapid GT car,
fastidiously maintained and ready for enjoyment. Offers welcome and
