For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Extremely rare factory color combination. Turquoise inside and out with a deluxe interior. Also very desirable features including 4-speed, power steering, power disc brakes and factory gauges. Overall good, honest car.

EXTERIOR: It is a good looker. It sits proud, has spoilers and a beautiful Tripoli turquoise color. New full 1/4 panels. The body is straight and fits nice. The paint job is laid out evenly and polished glossy. There are minor imperfections if you look for them, but it presents itself very well. The front bumper is original, SS grills on the hood, the emblems, marker lights, rear bumper, taillights and gas cap are new. New windshield and rear window. Vinyl top is excellent. The door jambs are very clean, weather strips have been replaced. It has 15 inch rally wheels with BFGoodrich tires.

INTERIOR: I think the interior is exceptionally nice, not abused at all. The deluxe includes upgraded upholstery, molded door panels and wood grain trim. The turquoise matches the paint real well. The front seats are new, rear are very nice. The carpet looks new,, has reproduction floor mats. It has complete set of factory seat belts. The headliner is excellent, dash pad is upholstered. All the trim, kick panels, console is very nice. It has the factory gauges and tachometer. Upgraded with a walnut steering wheel and a retro stereo.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Not show quality but clean and respectable. Great running 350 motor upgraded with an aluminium intake, Edelbrock carb, HEI ignition and a set of headers. Features include power steering and power brakes. New radiator, shroud and fan. The battery is bolted down properly, has a disconnect switch. It's dressed up with a little bit of chrome.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid trunk floor, new 1/4s. New rubber mat, backseat insulation and weatherstrip.

UNDERSIDE: The front end isn't new but has been gone through at some point. It has gas shocks front and back. It also has traction bars. The motor has a chrome oil pan. The 4-speed is a Muncie. It has original 12 bolt rear end with 3.07 posi and chrome cover. Nice dual exhaust system has polished mufflers. The fuel tank, straps and sending unit were replaced. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake cables are hooked up. The floors have been repaired and undercoated.

I drove this car home, it was great. Ran, shifted, handled real nice. There are a lot of great Camaros out there and this one really stands out because of the colors. This is something special.
