VIN: 82XXX
Engine No. 63542 (Matching)
Completed on December 3, 1956
European Collectibles performed a full Concours restoration over a
20-month period from 2019 to 2020. During the restoration, this 356
was completely disassembled so that every aspect could be properly
addressed. The 356 was stripped down to the bare tub and had
minimal rust. All of the decks and doors are matching. The decks,
doors, bumpers, windshield frame, and soft-top were all pre-fit to
ensure a perfect fit. The complete driveline was rebuilt including
the engine, transmission, suspension, braking system, wire harness,
and fuel system. All the chrome was triple plated, the components
were either restored or replaced.
According to the Kardex from Porsche, this Speedster was originally
finished in Weiss (White) with a gorgeous Rot (Red) interior.
Currently finished in Graphite Metallic, only four (4) Speedsters
were delivered in this color. It was a one year only color and is
an extremely rare color combination. The engine corresponds to the
Kardex. Absolutely superb condition in every way, ready for any
concour event or to drive and enjoy. Complete with tools, books,
side curtains, boot cover, Kardex, and photo documentation of the
restoration. Truly one of the best 1956-1957 Speedsters that you
will find!
