Vehicle Description
This 2002 Mazda Miata Special Edition is serious cruising fun for
very little cash. And since this comes compete with A/C, automatic
transmission, power windows, and a cool color combo, you realize
you still get a lot of roadster for your money.
When you see a complete car like this for such an affordable price,
you always are asking, "What's the catch?" Well, in this case, the
only catch is that the market hasn't caught up to these yet. The
factory Titanium Gray Metallic was one of two colors for these
Special Edition cars. They only made 1,491 in this color, and we
imagine you'll find it far more tasteful than the yellow ones. The
SE cars are likely to hold their value because they were an
expensive option when new, and so they are a rarity today. So when
this one retains its fun cruiser attitude and appearance, it tells
us it has lived the right kind of life so far. It has the svelte
proportions that make these a spiritual successor to the best
Europe had to offer. The body is precision straight, just how the
Japanese made it, and there's even a bit of added flair with the
factory 16-inch alloys. In fact, the color of the paint makes for
the perfect midpoint between the brighter silver of the wheels and
the black folding roof - creating nicely coordinated total
package.
The saddle tan leather with black accenting has a timeless appeal.
So this special edition feels like an extra reminder that the Miata
picked up the torch from the tradition of European roadsters. And
just in case the European-like feel wasn't already there enough,
you also have a great Nardi sports steering wheel. Beyond that, the
full gauge package looks fantastic with white faces and a touch of
chrome around the speedo and tach. They were built around the
driver, and so you soon realized that every feature you could want
is right at your fingertips. This includes power windows, power
locks, and a sweet-sounding AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo system by the
masters at Bose. There's even modern safety with dual airbags. But
as a true driver's roadster your favorite moments will always be
with the top down, and so it's great to stay comfortable while open
to the world thanks to the cold-blowing air conditioning.
Under the hood is a highly original package that's believed to be
original to this special edition car. Mazda hit a home run with the
Miata by combining the European driving experience with one of its
speedy and hardy engines. The 16-valve, 1.8-liter DOHC
fuel-injected motor was precision engineered to be rev-happy and
sound great doing it. The sport-tuned suspension and four-wheel
disc brakes are part of a harmonious package that makes the car
feel like an extension of you as it instantly reacts to the road.
But more than just great for a quick backroad trip, this one has
been loaded to make sure you're comfortable no matter the distance.
That's thanks to features like power steering, cruise control, and
the automatic transmission w/overdrive.
Complete with owner's manual, rarity and fun doesn't have to be
reserved for the expensive cars, and this Miata proves it with
every mile. So hurry up, because the next weekend road trip is
coming up quickly. Call today!!!
