Vehicle Description
1948 Ford F1 Pickup
The classic trucks have come a long way from hauling things around
the farm. These vintage vehicles now have their very own following
and continue to gain popularity. They still have their farm look
but nowadays there are just as many restored trucks as muscle cars
and street rods. This cool 1948 Ford F1 is in awesome condition and
runs very well. It has been all gone through with no details left
untouched. The engine, transmission and rest of the truck only has
17,174 miles on them since the build was completed. The steel body
is all coated in Victory Red and has a beautiful finish. All of the
chrome and emblems on the truck are in great condition. The front
bumper is brand new so the chrome is perfect. The stainless steel
bars on the grill have also been replaced and finish off the great
looking front end. In the back is a heavy duty rear bumper with
nicely mounted hitch. This classic isn't all about looks because it
can pull a trailer with no issues. The turn signals have been
replaced and along with all the other electrical works just as it
should. Two speed windshield wipers are nicely mounted in case you
get caught out in the rain. This is a nice feature to have that you
will find removed from a lot of these classics. In back the bed has
recently been redone with a new Horkeys bed kit which features oak
wood and stainless steel strips. Currently the bed houses a spare
wheel with a Black cover. The truck has a solid stance and rides
around on painted to match steel wheels with chrome beauty rings.
The tires are brand new.
Moving it down the road is a 355 Chevrolet V8 that is very
reliable. It starts up every time and has a nice smooth idle. It
has been dressed up with chrome Chevrolet valve covers and an
Edelbrock air cleaner. The power brake booster is nicely polished
and coated a matching Red. The truck has a great sound through HPC
headers into brand dual exhaust with Flow Masters. The truck always
runs nice and cool utilizing the new radiator and
electric/mechanical fan combo. A chrome overflow tank is also
nicely mounted in place. The Turbo 350 transmission shifts nice and
smooth and was all gone through. The 9" rear end is fitted with
3:00 gears allowing you to cruise down the road with ease. Up front
are 11" power disc brakes mounted to each side of the Mustang II
independent front suspension. A new rack and pinion steering box
was also just added.
The interior of the truck is finished out very well with tons of
new components. The dash is nicely coated Red and is topped with
white faced gauges. A classic heat/air/defrost system is in place
and works just as it should. The bench seat is topped with new Red
and Black upholstery that is very comfortable. The headliner has
also been redone. Seat belts have been added to keep you safe at
all times. Behind the seat a storage area was built and currently
carries the owners car show detailing gear. To the floor is mounted
a Genie shifter which works very well in these old trucks. An
original style steering wheel sits in front of the driver and is
wrapped with leather.
This is one of the cleanest old pick ups around. You don't see them
finished out like this everyday!
This truck is worth every penny of $39,500.00!
