BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this 1989 Taurus is in amazing
condition! The mileage of 94,423 is correct and the condition of
the car looks even lower mileage than that. With hardly a defect to
be found, the body on this car is incredibly straight and solid.
You'll be hard-pressed to find a 1989 Taurus that has been this
well-maintained!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The "Light Titanium Metallic" paint looks
to be original, and is in exceptional condition for the age. It
still has a beautiful, glossy shine! This color looks great on this
Taurus without being overbearing. This car has been stored indoors
when not in use for many years, the paint condition certainly backs
this up. Save for some small "road damage" on the hood and bumper,
the paint on this Taurus SHO is in astounding shape.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is just as clean or
cleaner than the outside! With 94,000 miles on the clock, some
minor wear is expected, but other than the driver's side outer seat
bolster there is very little apparent wear. No doubt this car has
been babied since new! The dash plastic is in nice condition, as
are all of the other interior plastic items. Everything that
normally cracks or fades in the sun is in nice shape, with the
exception of the sunroof cover which is showing some age. This is
evidence of the excellent care this car has received over the
years.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The fuel injected Yamaha V6 fires right up,
and runs smoothly! The Yamaha 3.0l units found in these SHOs are
well-respected engines, and known for their high-mileage potential
and overall durability. With more pep than you'd expect, we can't
think of a better engine choice for a sport sedan like this! Hooked
up to a 5-speed manual transmission, and complete with a 7,000RPM
redline, this SHO drives great and is simply a pleasure to
drive.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The overall originality as well as
the super condition of this car! This is a car you just don't see
this nice very often. Plus, it has placed in multiple shows and
received the AACA HPOF (Historical Preservation of Original
Features) award...the very first Taurus to receive such an award.
