Vehicle Description
There's just something about the handsome lines of a pre-war
business coupe that make great custom cars. Somewhere between the
flowing fenders and a moonshiner history lies an attraction that we
can't help but make all our own. So with its sleek look, upgraded
interior, updated suspension, and added V8 power, this 1939
Chevrolet Master Deluxe is the custom car you know you want to take
home.
Streamlined and sleek, the swept-back grille and rounded fenders
give this '39 Chevy a substantial, important look. Surprisingly,
none of the bodywork appears to have been altered. So every time
you feel how the doors shut with confidence, it's truly a testament
to how they could really built them right. Of course, the classic
look retains a modern level of appeal when they take the time to
give this a well-done dark cherry paint job. It's a quality
application with plenty of luster that really lets the light show
off this Chevy's curves. There's loads of classic appeal in details
like the Chevy badging, chrome bumpers, and Deluxe hood ornament.
That's joined by more modern sporty pieces, like the clear
headlights, large dual exhaust tips, and American Racing Torq
Thrust wheels with an extra meaty set of rear tires.
The full dark package continues inside with the custom interior.
You've got a nice deep black on the carpets, door panels, and
headliner. Even the large trunk was re-done in black, and it has
cool details like the Chevy bow tie and flames embossed in it. And
our favorite dark pieces are those upgraded bucket seats that
really turn this 1930s machine into an all-day comfortable cruiser.
The Lecarra sports steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. That
gives you a clear view of the whole dash, including the
AM/FM/cassette stereo and full gauge package with a large speedo
and tach.
Cruising is easy with the right powerplant, and the 283 cubic-inch
Chevy V8 means this classic now has robust small block power. It
has some nice upgraded polished pieces like the valve covers,
Moroso air grabber, and alternator. But what you'll really like are
the components that make this a better powerhouse. This includes a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, MSD coil, double
belts, and an electric fan. Out on the road, you can appreciate the
full package that includes the comfort of a Mustang II style
independent front suspension, rear sway bar, three-speed automatic
transmission, front disc brakes, and power steering. So now you're
starting to get the picture on how versatile this custom Chevy
really is.
We have a large binder documenting this car's history, photos, and
decades of care. There was even $2k recently spent in proper
maintenance. Slick paint and great features means this coupe won't
be with us for a great amount of time. Call today!!!
