Vehicle Description
One of the most wicked cars on the street or track just got a whole
lot meaner. This 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is fresh from an
upgrade at Lingenfelter, and they added 25 percent more power to
make this a 630hp juggernaut along with the upgraded intake to give
it an estimated 645hp. So when you want a street-eating American
coupe that can even put European supercars on the menu, you need to
look deeper into this one.
This looks like a track star, because it is one. Chevrolet's
engineers took their time creating the ultimate Camaro by taking it
back to its roots. The Z/28 package was born out of SCCA racing,
and so they dove deeper into this heritage by honing the
aerodynamic package on the best tracks in America as well as the
Nurburgring. The result is a car that can beat Lamborghinis around
Germany's famous road. But you don't see an international contender
with this one. Instead the factory Ashen Gray Metallic has the kind
of shiny finish you'd see on a well-oiled six-shooter. It's a true
superstar with lightweight aluminum & carbon fiber hood, muscular
arches, large spoiler, and special black 19-inch forged aluminum
wheels. It's such a dark total package that the red of the Z badges
and taillights boldly stick out so much, it looks like they are out
for blood.
The first thing you will notice when you open the door are the Z/28
embroidered sports seats by the masters at Recaro. These
leather-lined sports buckets are surprisingly extremely comfortable
for their level of track bolstering. The suede inserts are repeated
on the microfiber dash, doors, and special flat-bottom steering
wheel. This super coupe is loaded with plenty of convenience
features such as power windows, power locks, keyless entry, cruise
control, power steering dual airbags, side airbags, and a premium
audio system featuring Bluetooth. And the included window sticker
shows that this was even optioned with air conditioning right from
the factory.
We love this generation Z/28 because it offers an update on
Chevrolet legendary 427 performance cars. But part of the joy of
having a modern performance machine is that a few specialists
really know how to pull even more performance out of every area.
Lingenfelter is a long-standing icon in this field for GM cars, and
this one paid a visit to them in the summer of 2020. They pull the
special LS7 motor and gave it a full performance build. It includes
a CNC ported and polished cylinder head, a Comp Cams GT19 camshaft,
multi-angle valve job, forged pistons, 11.5:1 compression, a ported
and polished throttle body, and an MSD Atomic intake. A cold air
intake gets this mighty motor to inhale deeper, and the upgraded
American Racing long tube headers add power and thunder to this
car's exhale. It's now a 645-horsepower professional build. It was
an $18k investment all on its own, and the package is so fresh that
it's still under the majority of Lingenfelter's three-year
warranty! All this extra power is ideal for the Z/28, because it's
an engineering benchmark. The fully independent sports suspension
is built for the track, and it even utilizing some torque vectoring
technology. The six-speed manual transmission gives you full
control of the head-snapping acceleration, and the carbon-ceramic
four-wheel disc brakes know how to impressively scrub the speed.
There's even new Michelin Pilot Sport tires to keep you sticking to
the blacktop like glue.
The sale come complete with the original window sticker dealer
invoice, owner's manual, build receipts, Lingenfelter programmer
and Lingenfelter certificate. We then best get even better, you
know it's hard to resist. Don't miss this ultimate Camaro Z/28.
