The green cloth interior is full of handsome fabric that looks period correct . It's quite handsome in its simplicity with the bright real wood steering wheel, and the right gauges in the center of the dash. Of course it has the crank down windscreen, excellent condition brightwork through and we are replacing two, cloth side bench seat panels this week. A valuable radiator car/hood ornament/Thermostrat? Graces the top of the radiator. Included are a period canvas water bag, award certificates, 1925 and 1926 K Model original owners manuals, and other manuals and paperwork, as well as a VCCA Touring Passport.
The paint and underlying bodywork are high quality base coat/ckear coat. The panels are extremely straight. The previous owner said the entire roof assembly wood framing, vinyl and other structure was professionally rebuilt with new quality wood from a leading supplier of restoration wood parts. Please note some original wood framing in the upper trunk areas that the rear fenders nail into has evidence of previous moisture damage with some affect on the fit of the two fender panels with they join on top with the black, metal trim. The new owner may want to reinforce these wood panels or replace with new wood or metal bracing.
Also the passenger door at the bottom does not fit flush with the body and protrude out.
This may be partially remedied by remounting hinges inward?
The engine bay impresses with its tidy and correct appearance. The correct, 1925 171 cubic-inch four-cylinder is credited with being a smooth running, reliable engine matched with a 3 spd manual transmission. Lifting either the side of the hood showcases the mechanical action of the pushrods and valves. Owners of these K Models note the three-speed manual transmission has a true mechanical feel you'll love.
