1948 FORD ANGLIA PRO-STREET
Those of you … who follow us here at The FSD Hot Rod Ranch know that I (Dad) usually own a late model “Luxury-Hot Rod” as my daily driver. I started off this year with a Twin Turbo W12 Bentley Speed Convertible … which … I traded (for 2 great Hot Rods) to a great new customer from Rhode Island, New York. Then I purchased an incredible Maserati Gran Tursimo Convertible (which I dearly loved)
… and … (as we usually do) we also listed it For Sale as soon as we purchased it. Well, almost immediately … a great friend and multiple Hot Rod buyer of FSD Hot Rod Ranch (who lives in Minnesota) called and said that my new car was his “Dream Car” … and … offered me his “Pride & Joy” 1948 Pro-Street English Ford Anglia in trade.
Initially … I just didn’t want to trade (I just got the Maserati) … but … my Minnesota friend (Tom) was very persistent … so … after a few weeks of back and forth we made a deal. You see … we have never owned a Anglia here at the ranch … and … we know how special they are … so … to own one of this quality that is a “Pro-Street / Show Car” was almost irresistible. From it’s … near perfect Beautiful Black “All-Steel” Custom Body … to it’s … incredible, Fully Dressed “Blown” 355 Dual Carb Engine … to it’s … gorgeous Custom Interior … … … …

Now … before this ’48 Anglia became this Highly Modified Show-Quality Build, it was actually a true drag racing gasser in the late ’60’s.
Bill Farley was the original owner of the 1948 English Ford Anglia known as the “Old English” and later sponsored by “Thrifty Auto Supply”. Built by: Laurie Moreau with a Hilborne Fuel Injected 327 SBC V8 and raced in the B/Gas Class. Painted Bright Gold with a Metal Flake & Polished Halibrand Wheels, this was a head-turning powerhouse gasser of its time … and now … it's a High-Performance BDS 671 Supercharged 355 SBC V8 with Forged Internals, a Fatman’s Mustang II Front End & Ford 9” POSI-Traction Rear. The Interior has the racing feel with a more show-quality finish.
