Here is the car that changed Lamborghini. The Gallardo helped the company ramp up from 250 cars per year to 2,000 cars per year. And for good reason; this is one of the most enjoyable, practical supercars ever built.
This 2004 model is a rare 6-speed gated version, so it has a clutch pedal rather than the early E-gear setup. The Giallo Halys (yellow) paint is such a great color for this car, and is nicely contrasted by the tinted windows and black LP560 Apollo wheels. It has also been updated with an LP560 front end for a more aggressive look. And of course there is the optional glass engine cover which is a must-have for any Gallardo. This example also has a clean accident-free history and shows 37,000 miles on the odometer.
The Gallardo’s 5.0L V10 is factory rated at 495hp and features variable valve timing and a dry sump oiling system. This is a very reliable engine that needs little maintenance other than fluids and filters (no timing belts here). This one has been fitted with a Larini exhaust that produces an exquisite sound at throttle. The previously mentioned 6-speed manual transmission provides a better driving experience and higher reliability than the E-gear control. Lamborghini’s all-wheel-drive platform lends to terrific traction and stability. The power steering provides just the right amount of assist, while the brakes have excellent stopping power. Note this example also has the optional sport setup.
The hand constructed Nero Perseus (black) leather interior is in excellent condition. Note the yellow stitching in the sport seats and matching floor mats with yellow insignias. There is a tilt / telescoping steering column to ensure a comfortable seating position. Features includes dual zone climate control and a Pioneer head unit with touch screen, backup camera, and Bluetooth. All manuals are included along with the window sticker ($182,322) and a binder of maintenance records. There is also a high quality car cover and built-in battery tender.
This Gallardo is an amazing car throughout. It obviously has Italian exotic looks and outstanding performance. Still, despite its intimidating aura, this is a car that is quite reliable and remarkably easy to drive, especially with a clutch pedal. This one takes all these great features and adds a few tasteful upgrades to make Lamborghini’s supercar just that much better.
