Vehicle Description
Here's the best way to bring two icons together. This is a true
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air VC-code hardtop on the outside, but
underneath the skin are the best modern upgrades you could want,
including a custom A/C interior, upgraded suspension, four-wheel
disc brakes, and a fuel-injected LS1 Corvette V8.
We love a '57 Chevy hardtop dressed in a slick black. But what
makes the paint truly exceptional is the treatment the body
received during its full restoration just a few years ago. The
super-straight panels and precision gaps make the professional
paintwork look like a glossy black mirror. It's all part of a big
investment in this coupe that was completed in 2017, and there have
been less than 20 miles put on the car since then! On an American
icon this nice, only the best and correct brightwork will do. All
of it looks amazing from the beautiful bumpers, to the gold
anodized pieces that correctly point to potent V8 under the hood.
But, you also want to tell the world that this is a seriously
upgraded classic. There are little details, like the clear
headlights and Fuel Injection flags on the fenders. Plus, a big
hint at the upgraded power are the bright Foose polished alloys on
a lowered suspension for a truly sporty stance.
It's hard to find a place inside where they didn't make substantial
improvements in comfort and elegance. You even have the
vintage-style dash, but a newer insert that has more shine than
Chevy even gave in '57. The upholstery is a full professional
custom presentation done in tan and cream supple leather. Everyone
gets their own-individual bucket seat with a custom cup holder
center console running the full length of the interior. The door
panels, headliner, and even the trunk have all been done to match.
The tinted windows look great on this black Bel Air, but really you
want to roll them all down to show off this iconic pillarless
hardtop style. There's even cold-blowing air conditioning to make
sure you stay comfortable when you do this. And this Chevy was
absolutely made for cruising. It's easy to get comfortable with a
power driver's seat, wood and chrome steering wheel on a tilt
column, and a full Dakota Digital gauge package integrated into the
original housings.
Lift the hood, and you'll see another Chevy icon powering this
legendary coupe. It's an LS1 V8 motor from a C5 Corvette. That
means the fuel-injection callouts on the fender were not lying, and
in fact, it's something much wilder than what most people will be
expecting. After all, this bulletproof modern motor churned out 350
hp in the 'Vette, and since there's barely any miles on this whole
custom build, we're willing to bet it hasn't lost its punch at all.
In fact, the headers feeding the X-pipe dual exhaust means the
right added power and rumble to this impressive setup. But power is
only part of this unique package. It's a great mix of show-ready
components that also add to its usability, including steel-braided
lines, AN fittings, Wilwood master cylinder, and an aluminum
radiator w/electric fans. The motor is mated to a 4L60E four-speed
automatic transmission that's great for performance kick-downs or
all-day overdrive highway cruising. The undercarriage photos show
how clean this full build is, and you'll also spot suspension
upgrades, like the tubular front A-arms. Add in rack & pinion power
steering, drilled & slotted four-wheel power disc brakes, and
modern ZR-ratted tires, and this is a great car that can be driven
all day before teaching lesser coupes a few lessons at night.
This is a custom build of an American icon that's clean all the way
through. It'll be the hit of every cruise-in that's also reliable
enough to take on the Power Tour. It's the kind of Bel Air that
you've always wanted, and if you're quick enough, your reward is
ready. Call today!!
