Only 7,714 actual miles. Same owner since 1984. Original survivor
condition.
EXTERIOR: Easily recognizable by it's razor edged bustle back
trunk. This one is fully dressed with a Rolls Royce style grill by
E&G and the Flying Lady hood ornament, a cabriolet roof
complete with faux snaps and a set of Vogue tires. The body is in
excellent shape. I don't see any signs of rust or damage. It is
straight, everything fits real nice. The original dark blue
metallic paint still shows well, it's glossy. Under our lights you
can see tiny cracking on the hood and trunk. There are a few
scratches and touch ups. Overall the chrome and trim is straight
and shiny. I was surprised at how well the wire hubcaps still
sparkle. Heated mirrors were a new feature at that time. The power
antenna is not working. Weather strips are soft. The white top has
no issues, it can probably be cleaned a bit more.
INTERIOR: Very plush, luxurious interior. Very soft velour
upholstery still looks new. The dash area looks pristine- dash pad,
wood grain, chrome, vents, lenses etc are excellent. It does have
an aftermarket stereo. It has the digital climate control,
tilt-telescopic wheel and information center. Not been smoked in,
cigarette lighters are still clean. Has power windows, locks, trunk
release and driver seat. Excellent carpet, seat belts, trim and
door panels.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is exceptionally clean, I have seen low mile
survivors that don't look half this good. All the components have
nice, clean finishes. Chrome valve covers are shiny. The air
cleaner assembly is excellent, complete with the duct work, hoses
and decal. The air conditioning has been updated with R134 freeon.
Power brake booster, vacuum canisters, relays, wiring, everything
is really clean and proper. It has the air pump for the auto
levelling system.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The power release works.. Completely carpeted
floor to ceiling. Even the hinges are carpeted. The original spare
is still bolted in place, never been used. Weather strip is
excellent. Power trunk pull down works.
UNDERSIDE: Completely original condition except exhaust was
replaced. Assembly line stickers are still in place. It features
front wheel drive, 4 wheel disc brakes and independent suspension
front and back. It has air shocks in back.
These low mile luxury cars are certainly in demand. I'm certain
nostalgia has a lot to do with it and there's no arguing how comfy
the interiors are!
