Vehicle Description
A 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible is truly a rolling icon. It only
gets better when you discover one with a high degree of originality
mixed with the right investments. In fact, this true classic
drop-top is even on an actual miles title!
Full-length pinstriping, wire wheel covers, and a luggage rack on
the back - this one just seems to have the right attitude for
classic cruising. And the factory-correct Springtime Yellow also
adds to this feeling. It was resprayed later in life, but it also
has the right aged-in look that will have some people assuming it's
original. That may be beneficial on a car like this, because it
likes to keep a lot of its classic style. Bright chrome bumpers, a
black convertible top to match the pinstripe, and all the right
details, down to the ribbed rockers, all make this feel like a time
capsule.
While this looks great with the black roof in place, with the flip
of a switch, it powers down to reveal a parchment interior. The
earthtones of both the exterior and interior make for an attractive
package, and the trim tag tells us the car was born this way -
including the desirable premium package with running ponies in the
seatbacks. Plus, there are some nice extras, like the wood trim on
the center console that matches the steering wheel, an upgraded cup
holder console, and the classic AM radio still works. This even
gives you the desirable Rally-Pac tach and clock combo on the
steering column.
This is a C-code car, and so it's great to life the hood and see
such a properly-presented 289 cubic-inch V8. This one has resisted
flashy add-ons, and instead, it has a great stock style. That's
because this is believed to still be the car's original motor!
There have been the right investments in maintenance, and you can
see that in the clean look of the hoses, wires, and even the
brand-new brake master cylinder. It's a strong-running V8 that
keeps this a nice cruiser. And you also have power steering, a
three-speed automatic transmission, and modern Hankook tires.
The actual miles title means this one has averaged less than 1,700
miles annually, but really, this drop-top pony car has been kept in
the right condition to add so much more to the odometer. So it's
the one classic you'll love to talk about and drive. Call
