Before 2002, Mercedes did not sell the G-wagon series in the United
States. The only way to get one was to specially import one and pay
a big chunk to attain a DOT/EPA certification in the United States.
The G-wagons are popular due to their style and off-road
capabilities (developed from the military g-series line of
vehicles). These "go anywhere" 4x4 sport utility vehicles are known
for their performance and amazing durability.
The vehicle is finished in Everest Green over black leather
interior and rides on AMG wheels. Other highlights include tinted
glass, heated seats, power sunroof, Pioneer CD player, rear
defrost, air conditioning, power brakes and power steering. Vehicle
runs and drives with pleasure and the feeling of a solid tank. The
Gwagen also has 3 different fully locking differentials to allow
for adjustment for any terrain.
