The 1980s were a tough time for performance cars, smog and
emissions tests combined with the increasing rate of fuel prices
meant that performance had reached an all time low. The most
powerful engines in muscle and sports cars could barely muster
200hp. When Chevrolet introduced the all new C4 Corvette in 1984,
the company chose to emphasis handling and agility over sheer
horsepower. The new design represented a clean break from the C3
generation with sleek new styling and a completely new chassis and
suspension. With all independent suspension highlighted by a new
lightweight transverse fiberglass mono-leaf spring that was
significantly lighter than the older coil springs. Also new was a
"uniframe" that consisted of a traditional perimeter frame with the
door posts, windshield and rear floor pan all integrated into a
single piece.

panels have even and deep paint. The Corvette has had the lower
intake manifold gasket replaced, newer tires, c-5 Zo6 wheels, high
performance ceramic pads and new rotors. The car comes with some
receipts, a copy of the build sheet, copy of the window sticker,
dealer brochures.The car comes with the original wheels.
It has recently had new electric fuel injectors put in and a new
steering rack installed also Other highlights include white leather
adjustable 6 way power bucket seats,6 speed manual transmission,
air conditioning, blue removable roof panel, selective ride
handling, Delco/Bose music system. With a powerful engine and some
solid features, this is a bargain performance icon.
