Vehicle Description
It's time to recognize one of the biggest bang-for-the-buck cars
now before the market catches up to it. This 2008 Dodge Caliber
SRT4 is from the few short years that Mopar offered you one of the
hottest turbo hatches to hit ever to hit the streets. And you get
to enjoy the full blackout speed machine from a modern and loaded
interior.
Mopar's SRT (Street Racing Technology) team are great at making
speedy machines, and this Caliber is a prime example. The black
paint and tinted windows give this a dark and mean attitude. The
blackout look goes nicely with the sporty SRT upgrades like the
heat extractor hood with a big scoop in the middle. There's also a
deep chin spoiler, full bodykit, and rear roof spoiler. And those
special SRT 19-inch wheels add a good shine while still looking
fortified.
The interior has all the right sports car pieces you love. It
starts with body-hugging front bucket seats with contrast red
stitching. There's also an armrest center console, sports shifter,
and a full set of white-faced gauges. It's also loaded with the
best features, including a power sunroof, power windows, power
locks, power steering, an alarm, the factory AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux
input, and provisions for factory air conditioning (likely just
needs a charge to blow cold again.) There's also modern safety with
dual front airbags and anti-lock brakes. What's nice about a
vehicle like this is that there's quite a practical side. There's
good back seat room and easy access with the rear doors. Plus, as a
true hatchback, it's easy to take along plenty of luggage or cargo.
So you can see how a car like this can be justified by your
practical side.
But your wild side will love what's under the hood. The 2.4-liter
fuel-injected DOHC motor is the numbers-matching unit. These were
the backbone for Chrysler pulling duty in everything, including
Jeeps. That means they made them hardy, and that makes for a great
place to start for a performance build. SRT upgraded the pistons,
added forged connecting rods, and gave it variable valve timing. It
was now ready for the Mitsubishi TD04 turbocharger and Valeo
air-to-air intercooler. The package is listed at 285 horsepower,
but some say it was underestimated, because it drives like an even
MORE powerful machine. You get full control over it all with the
six-speed manual transmission. The SRT team also upgraded the
suspension and added a big four-wheel power disc brake package.
This is the kind of cool and powerful car that you know is going to
be sought-after just like the first-gen Rabbit GTIs are now. So you
get to have fun driving it today and watch the admiration grow over
the years. But you only get to experience this SRT car if you're
the first to grab this deal. Call today!!!
