Vehicle Description
This 2005 Chevrolet SSR is a low-mileage and loaded example of one
coolest designs ever to hit the streets. So you know this
V8-powered car/truck/convertible strikes that ideal balance of
something that's great to drive today, and at the same time, you
know people will be seeking these out in the future.
Ricochet Silver Metallic is a very cool factory color to have. It's
not just that the name is fun to say, but also because it
coordinates so well with the whole package. The alloy wheels and
optional running boards carry the same tone, and so there is a
harmonious look over this whole vehicle. The grille and rounded
fenders have that unmistakable retro-cool style about them. But
this is far from just a vehicle designed to cash in on classic
Chevy chic. It has plenty of modern touches everywhere you look.
And of course, the roof is a modern marvel all on its own. The
hardtop has a sporty rounded profile when in place, and then with
the touch of a button, it disappears into the body. There's no
trace of it left, and so this look like a sleek custom roadster
pickup, right down to the flush-fitting tonneau. So it really looks
like a concept car that was allowed to sneak out GM's back
door.
Black and silver are a timeless combination, and so interior keeps
with this Chevy's well-done full color theme. And since this one
has barely averaged over 2k miles annually, it remains clean and
complete, right down to the leather on the bucket seats. And
speaking of the seats, you and your passenger get to power adjust
these to the individual ideal comfort position. There's also power
locks keyless entry/alarm, cruise control, power steering, a tilt
steering wheel, backup parking sensors, and an added Bluetooth
piece for hands-free calling. Power windows and the power folding
roof mean this one opens up to the world with ease. And the
cold-blowing air conditioning and heated seats are ideal for
dialing-in the right temperature no matter the time of year. You
have the AM/FM/CD stereo with Bose speakers and an upgraded
satellite radio receiver. There's also the modern safety of dual
front airbags, side airbags, and anti-lock brakes. When you look
under the tonneau, the carpeted trunk provides plenty of storage,
and the optional locking boxes over the fenders add even more
convenience. This is also a good place to store the rare trailer
hitch setup that maximizes this vehicle's usefulness.
This 2005 model represents a pivotal year in SSR's short run. The
V8 was upgraded to the 6.0-liter LS2 unit. This fuel-injected
powerhouse offered a healthy boost in power to 390 hp. Since this
was the kind of motor that was shared with the C6 Corvette, the
four-speed automatic's transmission servo was also upgraded to the
Corvette unit. Other well-placement improvements include a Simple
Engineering metal radiator support and upgraded Trailblazer SS
frame crossmember (the original components come with the sale,
too.) These help maximize the performance nature of the SSR. Plus,
it came from the factory with the right pieces, including tubular
control arms on the rear suspension, rear sway bar, and four-wheel
power disc brakes.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the sharp-looking low-mileage
SSR with all the right subtle improvements you really want. So when
an instant classic also has this much everyday appeal, you know you
don't want this deal to slip away. Call now!
