BODY OVERVIEW: This beautiful Corvette received a professional,
ground-up restoration at Godspeed Rides in Florida. The body has
been tastefully altered to both give this car an intimidating
stance and stunning curb appeal. Even the undercarriage is
beautiful and clean as can be! Other body upgrades include a Trans
Am-style front spoiler and Detroit Speed electric headlights.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The slick red paint is the perfect choice
for a road dominator like this! Coupled with blacked out bumpers, a
blacked out grille, and a set of black 19 and 20-inch Boze
Lateral-G wheels, this 'Vette is sure to be a showstopper!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Grab the Ringbrothers black door
handle and step inside, and you'll be introduced to a Corvette
interior like you've never seen! The seats are C7 Corvette seats
finished in custom leather covers. While the dash holds true to
original C2 Corvette styling, it is covered in suede and leather
with a modern Rockford Fosgate stereo integrated front and center.
The gauges are courtesy of Dakota Digital, and the interior heating
and cooling is handled by a Vintage Air Gen IV kit. The aftermarket
Ididit column with a Flaming River steering wheel is a nice touch,
and ties the custom interior together nicely. Red console ambient
lighting really sets the tone, and nestled in the custom center
console is the nice pushbutton gear selector. The red interior
lighting continues onto the dash, where a lit "Corvette" script can
be seen. Glance to the trunk and you'll see lighted "Grand Sport"
signage which really drives the interior color scheme home. Last
but not least, shift into reverse and the rearview mirror jumps to
life as a back-up camera.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: If you're already impressed with this car,
that's great news because we're just getting started! The body of
this 1966 Corvette is mounted on a SRIII Stage II tube chassis-an
item that cost over $30,000 by itself! This car has also been
fitted with C7 Corvette fully independent suspension, power rack &
pinion steering from Flaming River, Wilwood Hydratech hydraulics
attached to C7 Corvette Z51 brakes, and a Currie 9" rear end with
3.00 gears and posi-trac. Sitting on staggered Boze wheels with
275/30ZR19 335/30ZR20 tires, this Corvette sits just right. But
wait, there's more!
The engine is a GM 6.2L LT1 LS V8 hooked up to a 6L80E automatic
transmission. This Corvette has been fitted with a transmission
cooler as well, for smooth cruising! The 6.2L engine is from Pace
Performance, and makes 460HP/465 torque. The engine bay has been
upgraded with a DeWitt aluminum radiator, dual cooling fans, a
Street Shop serpentine system, MSD plug wires, American Autowire
wiring and a K&N intake. All of this is finished off at the
tail of the car by an extremely throaty exhaust system consisting
of a X-shaped crossover pipe and two Magnaflow mufflers through
custom center-exit tailpipes.
