Vehicle Description
2006 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
Production start-up for the 2005 Mustang was on September 7, 2004,
with the first 2005 model rolling off Flat Rock Assembly on
September 27, 2004. U.S. market launch and customer delivery began
at the end of October 2004, with production ending in late 2008 for
the 2009 model.
For consignment a 2006 Mustang GT in spirit, but it has undergone
extensive upgrading and customization. Star of magazines in 2013
for these new fixin's, you can be the new owner of this virtually
one off example that's an awesome looker and a serious cooker!
Exterior
With a carbon fiber hood by Body Armor, custom #8 polished
stainless steel panels and throw on some blue LED show lights, its
lights camera action with plenty of extra smoke from the machine to
roll 'em on this new black painted star. It has added front,
rear/side and quarter scoops by Xenon, a front chin spoiler by CDC,
an Eleanor front/lower grille carbon fiber dipped with smoke Fang
fog light covers, headlight splitters, all lenses and lighting has
been tinted black and some rear window louvers for even more
effect. Also attached a Boy racer rear wing with custom carbon
fiber inserts by 3D carbon, a carbon fiber trunk accent, carbon
fiber side view mirrors, and sequential taillights, as well as gobs
of LED highlight lighting. There are custom silver and orange hash
marks on the fenders, and 20-inch Foose Hornet wheels in black trim
with shiny bolts are on all 4 corners. Just an awesome looker
Interior
Starting off with a remote control starter which also controls the
windows and alarm, and you'll need it to protect all the toys in
the interior. We see carbon fiber fabric black bolstered seats in
bucket form, with gray suede and embroidered GT logos. This is a
rear seat delete car so in its place is black carpeting and a GT
chromed Badge. There is an Autometer gauge pod on the dash with
oil, temp, and fuel pressure gauges, and Autometer boost gauge, and
AEM air/fuel gauge built into the air vent pods in the center. The
central dash cluster is original to this car and is very clean.
Also, for your listening pleasure an Eclipse model 6620
Stereo/DVD/Navi/Satellite/Bluetooth with a remote bass controller,
hooked into a 300 watt Crunch Amp which is built into the rear seat
delete space, and covered with smoked glass. Way back are custom
carbon fiber wrapped sub enclosures with dual 12 inch Cerwin Vega
subs, and trunk enclosure panels with more blue LEDs. Right down to
the brushed aluminum dash knobs, seat controls and GT 500 billet
pedals no expense was spared, and no detail stone unturned. (See
why you need that alarm?!)
Drivetrain
Some foot candy to ease your eyes just a bit, under the carbon
fiber hood with a 4.6L 3 valve V8 which has been muscled up with an
Edelbrock E force street/strip supercharger w/3.25 blower pulley.
Some Comp Cams Murtha Thumper stage 2 cams with Comp cam phasers
are inside, along with 42# injectors. EFI and a Tremec 3650 5-speed
manual and a Ford 8.8-inch rear pumpkin with a 4.10 Trac-Loc axle
is now on. BBK headers and MAC Boom tubes remove the spent gasses
in no time. Breathe baby! Breathe!!
Undercarriage
With all the excitement and eye candy up top, the undercarriage is
not to be left in the dark and it is not! It has those blue LED
lights all around, straight totally dirt free and rust free
surfaces, like from showroom floor to your garage clean. There is a
complete pro lowering kit, with coils, shocks, and struts courtesy
of Eibach. Billet aluminum lower control arms, and the rear has
been rebuilt with new bearings, synthetic fluid and a friction
modifier. Also seen is a Steeda Aluminum drive shaft, and an MGW
short throw shifter mechanism.
Drive-Ability
Our short test drive was taken up by just playing with all the toys
added on to this car. Just a walk around of this beauty and we
could charge admission. Either way it drove swimmingly, had
lightning acceleration, excellent braking, and rail like handling.
All functions were working as needed, and the stereo is killer in
this car.
A one off totally blinged out, modified to excess, lightened and
customized and all the other adjectives one could use, have been
done to this custom GT with a binder full of receipts to back it
all up. There are a bunch of original parts that go with the car.
You will have to see this one to believe it, but rest assured if
you take the time to do so, you will be duly impressed and walk
away with a smile! ...And maybe even a beautiful GT from '06...
