Records show that the first owner was the VP of the Coca Cola Company, Atlanta GA. He owned the car for an outstanding 35 years before selling the car in 2002.

A wealthy car collector in Midland MI purchased the car and owned it until June of 2017. The car, during this time with approx. 59,000 miles, benefited from a frame-off restoration and was put back with a factory-correct mindset. The factory and period-correct side exhaust system was likely added at this juncture. After the restoration the car sat in their heated garage/showroom with only 200 miles logged in 15 years.

The estate of the second owner sold the car to another collector in Bellaire, MI. in July of 2017. A complete engine & transmission rebuild was done by Redmond Automotive & Jasper Engines and Jody’s High-Performance Transmissions as the car had extremely little use in the prior 30 years. The carburetor was rebuilt by Holley.

During this time, the brake system was redone with new brakes and rotors. A new clutch and battery were installed, and the AC was refurbished and updated to the new cooling requirements [R134A].

In August of 2020, more items were installed such as a rebuilt alternator, new spark plugs and plug wires.

The car was then purchased by a Monterey Peninsula enthusiast and collector in September 2020 with 61,632 miles. Compression tests prior to the most recent purchase showed:

#1 195, #2 190, #3 180, #4 190, #5 190, #6 195, #7 195, #8 190
