Vehicle Description
This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 tribute has an attractive paint
theme and nothing beats the look of a classic hardtop coupe. But
what's really got you hooked on this one is that is also gives you
proper big block V8 power and four-on-the-floor.
Ermine White is a great Chevy color. You'll always love telling
people that the first Corvettes were only done in Ermine White, and
it also It has a timeless crispness when done right. This was an
upgrade later in life, and so there's a good gloss and shine that
loves to show off the sharp edges that gave the '66 car some extra
attitude. That's why this is a great car for a Super Sport upgrade.
The blackout grille contrasts nicely against the white paint,
there's all the right badging, and the vent trim looks good on the
hood nicely. Plus, what really makes this extra cool are the
details. The classic redline tires are true standouts against the
white paint. The full-length blue pinstripe does, too, while giving
you a preview of the interior color.
The two-tone blue upholstery and full blue treatment inside is a
terrific standout. And it has the kind of quality condition that
will have you rolling down all the windows on this pillarless
hardtop just so people can get a better look inside. Just like the
exterior, there are some nice details to see, like the bright trim
in the seatbacks and the classic dual-spoke wheel. Two wide bench
seats give people plenty of space to get comfortable, and an
upgraded retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette keeps everyone
entertained. But that shifter on the floor is a quick reminder that
the real fun of this coupe is always going to be from the driver's
seat.
Under the hood is proper big block power. There's some nice added
flair with the polished air topper, valve covers, alternator, and
fan shroud. But really, the most impressive part will always be
having a true 396 cubic-inch V8 in a Chevelle coupe. This even has
some nice upgrades like a Holley four-barrel carburetor and a
performance intake. There are even nice supporting components, like
dual belts, an Optima battery and an aluminum radiator. The big
block fires up readily, and the four-speed manual transmission
gives you firm control over it all. Plus, this one was done to be a
good cruiser with power steering, power brakes (w/dual circuit
master cylinder), and discs up front.
This is a sharp-looking Chevelle that has all the right SS 396
upgrades you really want. So if you like a classic that's great for
driving and admiring, call today!
