This 1957 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud is a right-hand-drive four-door saloon that was acquired by the current owner in 1975 and was recently removed from storage and serviced. Work included draining the fuel tank, cleaning the carburetors, rebuilding the left-front wheel cylinder, exchanging the brake fluid, and replacing the battery, spark plugs, and engine oil. The car is finished in gray and blue over gray leather and is powered by a 4.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include wheel covers with body-color rings, fender-mounted mirrors, and chrome bumpers. This Silver Cloud is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a tool kit, recent service records, and a clean California title.
The body was previously refinished in two-tone gray and blue and features chrome bumpers, fender-mounted mirrors, fog lamps, and a chrome exhaust outlet. The paint is chipped around the door handles, and the selling dealer states there are bubbles in the paint.
15? steel wheels wear full covers with body-color rings and are fitted with Firestone FR380 tires up front and Dayton tires out back. Recent brake service included rebuilding the left front wheel cylinder and a brake fluid exchange. The selling dealer notes the remaining wheel cylinders require servicing.
The right-hand-drive cabin is upholstered in gray leather with matching door panels, which are joined by burl wood that accents the dashboard, upper door panels, and rear passenger picnic tables. Features include a driver-side storage compartment, a lockable glovebox, and a Radiomobile stereo. Wear is visible on the rear seats and around the ignition switch.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 110-mph speedometer, a clock, and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.9-liter inline-six features twin carburetors and an F-head configuration that incorporates overhead intake valves and side-mounted exhaust valves. Service completed in September 2020 included draining the fuel tank, cleaning the carburetors, and changing the oil, along with replacements of the spark plugs and battery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a General Motors-sourced four-speed automatic transmission. Corrosion is noted underneath.
