This 1959 Porsche 356A 1600 coupe is said to been delivered to the original owner through the European delivery program before being imported to the United States, where it has reportedly remained in the care of a single family. The car is finished in white over black vinyl and is powered by a numbers-matching 1.6L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The car was optioned with US-spec bumpers and a side-view mirror, and it also features a rear luggage rack, sealed-beam headlights with mesh covers, and an aftermarket stereo. Recent maintenance included an oil change. This 356A is now offered in California on dealer consignment with service records, literature, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a tool kit, and a clean Colorado title in the owner’s name.

Originally silver, this Reutter-bodied coupe has been refinished in white and features sealed-beam headlights with mesh covers, a luggage rack, body-color bumpers with overriders, and dual sideview mirrors.

Aftermarket 15? ventilated chrome wheels feature polished Porsche-branded hubcaps and wear Falken Ziex tires. The removed wheels are included in the sale.

The seats are trimmed in black with matching door panels and carpets, and the body-color dashboard houses an aftermarket stereo with auxiliary input. Coco Mats protect the front carpets, and rubber floor mats are fitted behind the front seats. A fire extinguisher is mounted in the passenger footwell.

The leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles and is believed by the selling dealer to have rolled over. True mileage is unknown.

The 1.6-liter flat-four has been modified with an electronic ignition system. The car has been converted to a 12-volt electrical system.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle.

Stamping P*75558* can be seen above and matches the engine number shown on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. A photo of the transaxle stamping can be viewed in the gallery.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists the factory colors, equipment, and powertrain numbers, as well as a production completion date of September 8, 1959.
