A factory-black 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with proper V8 power
and an A/C interior is a true dream car. And if you've been
watching the market, you know there may not even be enough time to
dig into the details before such a well-priced example gets
snatched up.
The trim tag tells us this was born a Starlight Black Trans Am, and
so you know it has a perpetual sense of cool. And as you look at
the whole package, it shows a car that keeps everything in good
balance. The gloss of the paint, the fitting of the body panels,
and the newer decals with iconic hood bird - they all looks good to
give you a car you'll love to look at, but never be too nervous to
drive. Of course, you also love this because the Trans Am arguably
knew how to be the best-looking F-body around. The shaker hood,
full factory body kit, and full-width rear spoiler made these look
speedy. And the gold snowflake wheels were both style and
substance.
The factory blackout package continues inside. The door panels,
carpeting, dash, and upholstery all have the clean look of a
respected coupe. This keeps a very stock style presentation, right
down the Delco AM/FM radio and cold-blowing factory air
conditioning. These Trans Ams were built for the driver, and so you
have a high-back bucket seat, armrest center console, and grippy
sports steering wheel. Beyond that is the T/A's hallmark
machine-turned dash panel with full gauge package, including the
cool tach/clock combo.
Underneath the hood is an unmistakable look of a Pontiac's blue
block V8. This 400 cubic-inch always looks good with a four-barrel
carb and the shaker on top. This is from the years the shaker was
only used for display, but because of this setup, we also all know
the real thing is a quick upgrade for those who want to add some
easy performance to this already potent V8. It's a well-maintained
package that fires up nicely, and it makes a terrific soundtrack
from the newer dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Out on the
road, these are known for their handling, including sway bars front
and rear. Plus, you have great anytime driving features, like the
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power
brakes with front discs.
This T/A is impressive for its correct items, working features, and
that it's all available right now for such a nice price. So you
know you can't miss this deal. Call today!!!
