Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the
classic and muscle car business. The tale of Chevrolet's Suburban
is one of the greatest success stories in the history of automotive
manufacturing. Sold since 1935, the Suburban is the longest
continuously used automobile nameplate on earth and remains one of
General Motors' most profitable vehicles. Today, with well over 10
million Suburbans sold, most of the people I know have at least one
fun Suburban anecdote, and this iconic stalwart shows no signs of
slowing. Our squeaky clean 1978 Suburban Silverado is an excellent
example of these wildly popular family haulers. Beneath the hood is
the numbers matching 454 ci big block that's been fortified with an
Edelbrock carburetor and headers. Additional features include power
steering, power front disc brakes, power rear window, factory front
and rear air conditioning, TH400 automatic transmission, front
bucket seats with console, tilt steering column, trailer mirrors,
and cab clearance lights. Useful upgrades include trailer brakes, a
Curt receiver hitch, and a newer stereo. Essentially a Chevrolet
3/4 ton truck chassis with a station wagon/SUV body, this pampered
jewel is a tough, reliable, and roomy carryall. As a matter of fact
Chevrolet named these workhorses Carryall Suburbans for a number of
years after their debut. This beast is in outstanding condition
inside and out, runs beautifully, and believe it or not, is fun to
drive. Also, please note the stellar chassis and floor pans coated
with red oxide primer in the images. Nice! Street Dreams
