#s matching motor and components. Stunning factory color
combination. I think it is an exceptional car, very honest and
tidy. It has NCRS shipping report, sold new at William Tunkey
Chevrolet.
EXTERIOR: We aquired this car from a collector that we have done
business with for decades. He owns a collision shop so he knows a
good body. This body appears to be mint. I don't see any signs of
damage, I don't see any cracking or body work. Look at it head on
and notice how the headlight buckets fit real square and the
bumpers are level, that's an indicator it hasn't been hit. It's a
very desirable factory Marina blue car. The metal flake is laid out
evenly. It has a very smooth clear coat finish polished glossy.
There is some minor bubbling on the driver's fender. All the trim
is real bright. The bumpers, emblems, door handles, taillights look
like they've been replaced. The stainless around the windshield has
been polished. The door jambs are painted very glossy, weather
strips and sill plates were replaced. The bright white convertible
top is in excellent shape. The reproduction bolt on wheels have
Michelin tires.
INTERIOR: I love the matching blue interior. I love even more that
it has genuine leather seats that are gently broken in perfectly
like a favorite leather coat. It is very tidy and clean inside. The
carpets been replaced front to back including floor mats. The
center console is in good original condition, has correct reverse
lockout shifter with chrome ball. The dash humps are excellent, the
instrument panel is clean, glovebox door is real nice. Gauges work,
it has quartz movement in the clock. Everything works- gauges,
interior lights, Am-Fm radio, quartz clock etc. Door panels look
like real good originals. It has original blue seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the VIN numbers matching 327-300
horsepower motor with all correct components. We have a breakdown
of all the codes, casting dates, head numbers, intake, carb,
distributor, starter, manifolds and waterpump. The original carb is
not on the car but is included. Even the radiator and expansion
tank are correctly numbered. The compartment is detailed like
factory original. It has the ignition shielding, correct open
element air cleaner, GM hoses and clamps, spring clamp battery
cables and there's a battery disconnect switch. It's detailed very
nicely.
UNDERSIDE: Exceptionally clean underneath. The fiberglass floors
look undamaged and clean. The spare tire carrier is complete, has a
spare in it. The frame is solid and painted black. Independent
suspension front and back. Up front it has new sway bar end links,
steering dampener and shocks. Ball joints and bushings were
replaced at some point. In back it has upgraded fiberglass spring
and Bilstein shocks. Bottom of the motor is spotless, fuel pump and
starter looks new. The 4-speed and linkage look fresh. In back it
has original 3.36 posi rear, code AM. It has an optional chambered
exhaust system that sounds great. The brakes were redone last year,
it has disc at all four wheels. The emergency brake assembly looks
like it's hooked up. It's very tidy and proper looking under this
Vette.
This car has my personal interest. It seems like a sweetheart, a
car that has been well cared for and will treat you right. Very
desirable year and colors. The new owner will really enjoy this
investment!
