Vehicle Description
This 1955 Oldsmobile 88 is a classic coupe that's been given so
much custom work inside and out, and there's even powerful big
block upgrade under the hood. So at a price like this, it might
seem too good to be true, but the more you read, the more you're
going to love this custom Olds.
This one takes pride in its skillful custom work to make it as
handsome as it is today. From a distance, you can recognize the
investment on the two-tone Burgundy and Ivory pearl just by its
metallic glow. The two colors give the gentle curves an almost
gem-like quality. Plus, you really see the details in the paint
thanks to how they expertly deleted almost any trim that was not
used to separate the two-tone, including the door handles. Dont
worry, the door poppers are on a remote key fob and additional
poppers are located underneath the side mirrors! The bumpers were
even eliminated and replaced with seamless form-fitting pieces that
give this classic Oldsmobile a very contemporary style. The hobnail
grille is an eye catcher; there are sleek sort mirrors; and there's
an awesome stance on the Cragar SS wheels. It all makes for the
kind of car where you know it's both custom and powerful all within
the first glance.
The two-tone treatment continues inside. The carpeting, door
panels, upholstery, and headliner are an intertwined burgundy and
cream that look quite handsome. And the curvy dash has the kind of
gloss some people would love to have on their fenders. Even the
trunk was redone for this full custom setup. More than just look
nice, this was also built for driver comfort. That's why you have
well-integrated upgrades like a high-back front bucket seats, a cup
holder center console, auxiliary readouts, and a later model
Oldsmobile steering wheel on a tilt column. There's even an
AM/FM/CD with aux input for the ideal driving music.
The 455 cubic-inch V8 was one of the best Olds motors around, and
so while it was years away in 1955, this custom build was given the
proper upgrade. Not only do you have the mighty V8, but also it
looks handsome in the engine bay where they painted the components
to coordinate a while back. There's even some nice added shine with
the polished valve cover and air topper. This looks like a
driver-quality package, and that's why it's ready to hit the
boulevard. The V8 inhales deeper with a large Holley four-barrel
carburetor, and the Cherry Bombs dual exhaust lets it exhale with a
terrific tune. The 200-4r four-speed automatic transmission even
gives you handy overdrive. Add in power steering, power brakes, and
wide BF Goodrich T/As, and this custom Olds is the kind of car
that's fun all weekend long.
Compete with maintenance records, this is power and elegance that's
ready to hit the road right now. So don't miss out, call today!
