For Sale: 2004 Ford Excursion in Middletown, Connecticut

Vehicle Description

2004 Ford Excursion XLT

Purchased new in New Mexico, this truck was first used in a rental fleet for the first few years of ownership. It then went into private ownership in CA for many years and two owners, the 4th, current owner, purchased it recently from California with 135K miles on the clock, it now resides in CT. It was well maintained with most of the regular items being handled at various southwest dealerships.

From the factory, this truck came with Medium Flint cloth seats (which are still in incredible condition) and the front captain chairs and was painted in Aspen Green Metallic. It is powered by the original 5.4L V8 that puts out 255HP and 350lb.ft of torque running through a 4 speed AOD transmission (4R100) and a 2 speed NV273F electrically engaged transfer case. That eventually puts power to the ground via a Dana 50 front axle and a massive 10.5" Sterling/Ford rear diff. with 4:10 gears and limited slip. All is stopped by 4 wheel power disc brakes.

Other options/equipment from the factory include: Cruise control; AC (front and rear climate controls); removable 3rd row seating (which will fit 8 adults easily); towing package with an 11,000 lb towing capacity; tinted windows; split rear gate; manually locking front hubs; power steering; power windows; heated, power mirrors; 8 way power seats. With the seats folded down and the third seat removed there is a whopping 146 cubic feet of stowage. The gas tank holds 44 gallons and definitely makes use of it.

Additions and upgrades to the truck all done within the last few years include a 4" Rancho lift that includes blocks, springs and RS 9000 adjustable shocks; Moto-Metal 18" wheels wrapped in 305/70R (35") Nitto Grappler Highway Terrain tires; K&N Cold air induction; Husky rubber floor mats front, rear and way back; new headlights; exhaust (mufflers/tailpipe); and the roof and hood were painted to fix a deteriorated clear coat. The paint is in great condition and shines nicely and really shows the green metallic. There are some small nicks and scratches and a small dent just below the left taillight.

This truck is a southwest vehicle and is totally rust free. When it came to CT, it was completely treated with New Hampshire Coatings rust prohibitor.

Recently, all fluids were flushed/changed and the right side front hub was replaced.

The 5.4L was known to last long and it isn't uncommon to find Excursions with up over 200,000 miles. With only 136K, this truck still has many years of well maintained life in front of it.

This truck will make a great tow rig (quads, camp trailer, 4x4 rock buggy, bikes, to bring home project cars...), hunting rig or even an overland expedition vehicle.

It is rare to find these in this kind of great condition.

The Carfax on this truck is clean and clear.
