had a frame-up restoration in 2010, using NOS parts when needed. Original numbers-matching correct W code 427 4V and C-6 Select-Shift Merc-O-Matic transmission. Period correct Firestone wide oval tires look great along with flawless Augusta Green Paint, a black vinyl top, and black leather interior. In 1968, the only Ford product available with the 427 engine was the GT-E Mercury Cougar. Only 256 W Code 427 GT-E Cougars were made, making it in a unique and highly sought-after variant of the Cougar.
