1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy Pace Car53,000 miles ( 1 of 6,502
Built)Since 1978 was the 25th Anniversary of the Chevrolet
Corvette, one was built as the Official Pace Car of the 1978
Indianapolis 500. Chevy built as a special limited edition,
replica's of that very car. They decided to build one for every new
car Chevrolet Dealership in the country (6502).
With only 53,000 original & documented miles, this Corvette is one
of those cars. It has a very nice and original body with a solid
frame and an older repaint that shines well but is driver quality
at best. I guess you could call it a 5 footer. She looks great from
5 feet away but get up on it and it shows it's imperfections. Don't
get me wrong, the car still looks pretty good but she's not
perfect. The interior is very nice and completely original and
accompanied with mirrored glass T-tops. Powered by its original
L-48 350c.i. 4bbl engine that runs smooth and strong and a good
shifting TH--350 automatic transmission and original Posi-Traction
rear differential.
Other Features Include:
Power Steering
Tilt & Telescopic Steering Column
4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Cruise Controll
Air Conditioning
Am-Fm Stereo
Like New Eagle ST Tires
Also, it appears to have had some recent repairs and maintenance
such as new exhaust system, new brakes, new power steering
cylinder, hoses and lines and we just completely serviced it with a
fresh oil change, tune-up, trans service and engine detail. This is
a really nice driver quality Pace Car!
She is ready to enjoy and hit the road today! We price her right
for a quick sale. Don't miss it !!
