For Sale: 1937 Plymouth Custom in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

It's always great when a well-done street rod rolls in to our RK Motors Charlotte showroom. Unlike muscle cars and sports cars, which can be somewhat homogenous, custom cars are created around the cornerstones of a true enthusiast's psyche: GO FAST and LOOK GOOD. And when you build a classic around those two principles, you either go big or go home. With proven power, modern motivation, big comfort and great looks, this super cool Plymouth pretty much lives that motto. And if you're the kind of buyer who's ready to cruise the scene and turn heads, it's the fully sorted classic you've been patiently waiting for!

UNDERSTATED UNIQUE

The leading edge of a comprehensive, ground-up restoration that cost close to six figures, this sedan's solid steel body is the kind of profile that would turn heads in primer. So, what better way to ensure sore neck muscles than adding buttery paint and traditional-style mods? A sensible combination of Olive and Ivory two-stage kicks off with Plymouth's distinctive 'waterfall' grille, which splits vintage, color-keyed headlights with a classy emblem and a familiar Mayflower hood topper. A polished bumper, shaded by retrofitted parking lamps, bends around traditional fenders and a four-piece hood. Those stainless-trimmed wings front Light Bronze tinted glass, which reflects stylish mirrors and capped wipers. Traditional handles pop requisite suicide doors that continue subtle pinstripes down an unchopped profile. And at the end of that slant-back form, a second polished bumper guards a polished fuel cap, stainless-trimmed LED taillights and a Plymouth-branded decklid that's spiced with a small Road Runner decal.

MOPAR IN A MOPAR

Fold this custom's hood and you'll find 360 cubic inches of proven MoPar power that's good for cruising or storming! At the top of that mill, a satin air cleaner centers a trick wingnut above a reusable filter element. That filter funnels breeze through a Lokar-controlled Edelbrock 4-barrel that's sequenced to a roster of stainless lines. That coated carb floods a choice Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, which frames a hot HEI distributor that's snapped to loomed Summit Racing plug wires. Fabricated valve covers prop a polished breather and color-keyed ties opposite coated block hugger headers. Pliable V-belts spin a polished alternator and a coated AC compressor. Cooling comes courtesy of a big aluminum radiator, which is accompanied by an electronic pusher fan. And the car's Ivory engine bay is clean and well done, rounded out with niceties like polished fluid reservoirs and trick dipsticks.

TOP NOTCH FROM THE GROUND UP

Under this impressive Plymouth, a trusty Chrysler A737 TorqueFlite kicks a 10-bolt MoPar axle. That proven pumpkin pushes a custom chassis, which seats a Fat Man Fabrications Mustang II front-clip around power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Safety is greatly improved by a duo of power-assisted discs. A high-octane soundtrack is provided by a subdued turbo muffler, which is threaded into aluminized tubes that are capped by a polished tip. And at the corners of the floor, polished American Racing Torq Thrust IIs spin 205/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As.

CUSTOM AND COMFORTABLE

Inside this sweet sedan, class is the name of the game as tasteful, two-tone leather creates a stylish complement to the car's slick, two-tone paint. Pop the doors and you'll find taut Olive and Ivory hides that hug a wide bench and firm bucket seats. Front and center, an Ivory dash hangs a trick GPS speedometer and cool Vintage Air climate control behind a stylish Haneline bezel and custom pinstriping. A stylish Lokar shifter rides a small console, which is centered between quality carpet, billet foot pedals and intricate side panels. A hidden Pioneer CD player bumps a quartet of Kicker speakers. And the driver spins a polished and wood-rimmed steering wheel around a tilting column.

Here's an excellent chance to turn someone else's hard work into your benefit. This sweet Plymouth is a choice custom that combines great craftsmanship with great performance! Call, click or visit https://www.RKMotors.com for more information.
