It's hard to put one definition on this 1972 Ford F-100. It has a
great classic look with the premium Ranger trim; there's a lot of
function with the tough truck bed; and it's all a nice mix of
history and some cool custom details. So if you want a V8 classic
with a little bit of everything - and all for an obtainable price -
keep reading.
The Ranger XLT was the range-topping pickup of this era, and this
one has been outfitted accordingly. The full-length side trim not
only has brightwork but wood paneling, too. And there's even more
of this wood-like trim on the tailgate. Chrome bumpers, bed rails,
blue-dot taillights, and updated double redline wheels all gives
this premium and vintage appearance. It's all set against the
factory-correct Bay Rock Blue paint. This was given a respray later
in life, and the modern clearcoat gives it an even shine to show
off this F-100's crisp lines. It looks good on this premium pickup,
but it's also not too fancy to get people accusing you of putting
on a show. Instead, it strikes the right tone for a truck that's
useful, and the full protected bed backs up that feeling.
The sea of blue continues inside on a mix of cool classic pieces
and the right upgrades. For example, the dash has a clean and
vintage look. It has the Ranger's premium wood-like trim and the
correct Philco AM/FM radio is still cranking out tunes. There's
even an A/C system under the dash that has the right trim to look
like a dealer-installed piece (the compressor is present, too, but
the full system will need hooking up and possible more servicing
and components.) The bench seat fits in with this classic style,
but it's an updated with an integrated cup holder. The steering
wheel has that well-worn feeling that gives you the sensation of
the generation that has come before you. In fact, this truck really
has history with the included paperwork that shows this was
original Georgia truck and may have been all its life. Plus,
whenever you truly want the old-school pickup feeling, you just
open the side vent windows and slide the rear glass for that ideal
classic truck breeze through the cab.
The V8 power under the hood is from one of Ford's sturdiest truck
motors. The FE block is believed to be a 360 cubic-inch unit, and
it's done with added style in the lighter blue that coordinates
with the exterior. There's even a glasspack setup on the dual
exhaust for a little added hint of V8 deep tone. But overall, on
the days it's not going to work, this one just likes being a
classic cruiser. That's why you also have three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes.
The sale comes complete with some cool paperwork to show its
history, including the original warranty card, title documentation,
and the owner's manual. This Ford offers a lot of appeal for an
affordable price. Call today!!!
