Vehicle Description
The 1968 AMC AMX American Motors Experimental was designed to
compete with the corvette. The classic car market is waking up to
this high-performance 2 seat coupe. Equipped with the original X
code Go Pac option the 390 c.i. was factory rated 315 hp.
Transmission is the "shift command" 3 speed automatic. Production
was a mere 2,287 for the X code automatic. Engine upgrades include
Mallory electronic ignition, Hi-performance cam, Doug's headers and
edelbrock cast aluminum valve covers. With power steering and power
front disc brakes it rides on Magnum '500' wheels with period
correct red-line tires.The rust free body is finished in 'frost
white' with red stripe. Interior sports original vinyl bucket seats
with optional seat belts and shoulder harness. Instrumentation is
after market Summit gauges and Fusion sound system.
