Vehicle Description
This 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is a true survivor car fantasy
that you probably never thought you'd see. It's a final-year
first-gen King of the Hill that has gone less than 30 miles. Yes,
the 27-mile odometer is accurate! It was a car that was properly
stored to be a collectable from day one, and it even has the right
paperwork to show it off. So this is the kind of bright red
supercar that can cause a stir even at the fickle NCRS events.
When you have possibly the most original and lowest mileage C4 ZR1
around, you know it's destiny is to be one of the coolest show cars
around. That's why it has been treated with such care. So while the
all ZR1s are awesome-driving cars, this one is only going to
someone who knows never to turn the wheel in anger. Instead, this
is for someone who wants to be sought-after as the benchmark for
the most accurate ZR1 restorations for decades to come. The Torch
Red paint has the kind of gloss that turns your garage into a
showroom; the body is as accurate as GM could get (after all, this
is the ZR1's final model year); and the original Goodyear Eagle GS
tires likely have more dust than street dirt. It was truly frozen
in time at day one. So if you're the kind of person who attends
NCRS events, Corvettes at Carlisle, or Bloomington Gold, get ready
to take center stage.
This came with both the color-matched targa top and optional
translucent roof panel, and you can tell from the interior that
this one has hardly spent any time with at least one of them in
place. The sleek black is truly up to factory standards. While this
one is special for being a time capsule, these are also awesome
because they come loaded. It speaks directly to the driver with a
leather-wrapped steering wheel, bright mix of digital and analog
gauges, and the six-speed gearshift that perfectly falls to your
right hand. But there are also plenty more features in this ZR-1.
This includes power windows, power locks, keyless entry, cruise
control, power seats, and an AM/FM/CD/cassette Bose stereo. There's
the right safety equipment with the driver's airbag and anti-lock
brakes. And because this special ZR1 has not only been properly
stored, but also properly maintained, everything works correctly
right down to the automatic A/C climate control.
Basically zero road miles on the odometer means the special LT5
engine is still as amazing today as it was when it debuted. The
engine bay looks like a technical marvel with the special cam cover
for the fuel-injected 5.7-liter 32-valve V8. This is also a later
car with the rare Dunn heads. The motor remains properly serviced,
and so you could hit the road today and unleash the full fury of
this 405 hp powerhouse. And the FX3 adjustable suspension is
perfect for performance driving. But really, you are going to keep
this motor looking like the industrial art that the masters at
Lotus designed. You'll even be hard-pressed to find a mark in the
undercarriage considering this special ZR1 has spent more time
being transported by flatbed then under its own power.
The final C4 ZR1 production year was one of the rarest around with
only 488 examples made. And so a car that will likely remain the
benchmark needs the right paperwork. That's why the sale comes with
the original window sticker, reproduction build sheet (original
also available), and owner's manual packet. So if you're a true
collector, you already know you can't let this opportunity slip
away, call today!!!
