THE TARGA VERSATILITY YET SAFETY. THE 1987 911 TARGA IS A STRIKING

TORQUE, THIS VERSION OF THE 911 CAME WITH AN UPGRADED L-JETRONIC
FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM FEATURING BOSCH MOTRONICS 2 DIGITAL MOTOR
ELECTRONICS IGNITION CONTROL SYSTEM, WHICH IMPROVED THE FUEL
EFFICIENCY FROM PAST MODELS. THE OLD PORSCHE 915 GEARBOX WAS
FINALLY REPLACED BY THE GETRAG G50, WHICH USES A HYDRAULICALLY
ACTUATED CLUTCH INSTEAD OF THE PREVIOUS CABLE SYSTEM, AND IT HAD A
GEAR SELECTOR CENTERING SPRING FOR NEUTRAL. SHIFT THROWS WERE MUCH
IMPROVED WITH A MORE DEFINED GATE. THE FRONT WHEELS MEASURE IN AT
15" DIAMETER X 6" WIDE AND THE REAR WHEELS ARE 15" DIAMETER X 7"
WIDE. OUR CAR HAS FOG LIGHTS, A PIONEER MIXTRAX RADIO WITH BUILT-IN
BLUETOOTH AND A FACTORY OPTION CARRERA REAR SPOILER. IT'S FITTED
WITH MICHELIN PREMIER TIRES, 195/65R15 IN THE FRONT AND 205/65R15
IN THE REAR.
