Vehicle Description
If you are looking for a street rod, this particularly well built
1932 Ford 3 window highboy coupe is one that deserves a second
look. Featuring a Harwood body on a professionally built Roadster
Shop 1932 style chassis. The front suspension is a 4 bar chrome I
beam drop. The rear is a Ford 9" with posi-track and 4 link and
fully adjustable coil overs. Stopping power comes form the 4 wheel
Wilwood disc brakes. Powered by a big block 454 Cu In V8 that is
feed by the 671 Weiand blower with dual 4 barrel carburetors.
Behind the 454 V8 is a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission with
Hurst competition shifter. Just some other performance upgrades
include Edelbrock roller timing chain, CSI electric water pump, MSD
ignition, Griffin big block radiator with Spal 16" electric fan,
Center Force 11" clutch, Sanderson headers, and Brodix heads. The
exterior is finished in Spectrum brite red. The attention to detail
on the exterior seems to go on and on, with numerous chrome
treatments, suicide doors, 3 1/2" chop top, front turn signals in
the front spreader bar, and Budnik wheels. The custom black leather
interior fits this Highboy very well, with leather bucket seats,
Autometer gauges, Flaming River tilt steering column, chrome handle
parking brake, Dynomax sound deadening, Budnik steering wheel,
chrome roll bar, power windows, and Simpson 4 point harness system.
This great 1932 Ford coupe runs and drives just as a quality built
street rod should. Being a multi show winning car is no surprise
once you look at this Highboy. This beautiful Ford also caught the
eye of "Streetscene" magazine that did a article in their February
2008 publication. They are quoted as saying that "the car just
looks like fun".
