Just take a good look at the condition of those rubber bumpers! If
you have been patiently waiting for an extremely clean Tracker
convertible then this very tidy, 1999 Chevrolet Tracker may be just
the ticket! Perfect for a coastal town or desert cruising with
excellent gas mileage! The Chevrolet Tracker, formerly the Geo
Tracker, is a mini SUV produced for Chevrolet and Geo by CAMI
Automotive in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada. This example was made
north of the border in April 1999 at the Ontario, Canada plant. The
tracker was sold new at Cox Chevrolet in Bradenton, Florida and
still includes the original window sticker, original manual,
delivery paperwork and Cox Chevrolet business card. Finished in
Wildfire Red with a manual folding black soft top, this Tracker?s
paint and trim are in excellent condition. The cute-ute?s body is
straight and solid, the engine bay is very tidy, the battery looks
new, the cargo area is clean, the black rubber bumpers fit tightly
to the body and look great. Rarely have we seen a cleaner tailpipe
on a vehicle that is more than 20 years old and the undercarriage
is very clean. This Tracker wears blackwall radials with factory
wheels and center caps. The tires and wheels are all in very good
order. Under the hood is a 2.0L DOHC, 16-valve Suzuki four-cylinder
engine with multipoint fuel injection (code L34/J20). Backing up
this motor is an Aisin four-speed automatic transmission (code
M41/A44DE) with a 4.87:1 rear end and overdrive. Driver convenience
features include air-conditioning, power steering, power brakes,
tilt steering column and cruise control but the high beams and low
beams switch have been moved to a toggle switch on the dash for HID
upgrades. This Tracker also has dual front airbags and anti-lock
brakes (ABS). Inside, the charcoal gray cloth seats look fantastic,
as does the matching carpet and the gray headliner. A two-spoke
steering wheel faces the driver while the instrument panel and
inner door panels are in excellent order. Gauges include
speedometer, tachometer, fuel and engine temperature gauges. The
center console and shift lever are both in very good order. The
optional Delco AM/FM stereo with CD player rounds out the interior.
Competition to this Tracker in 1999 included Dodge?s Raider,
Honda?s CR-V, Isuzu?s Amigo, Kia?s Sportage, Suzuki?s own Vitara
and Toyota?s RAV-4. Besides making an ideal second or third car,
this would be a great candidate as a runabout to flat tow behind a
recreational vehicle on vacations or drive around efficiently
around your beach town. Stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to
