Vehicle Description
As Rennsport Reunion has become becoming bigger and better for
Porsche Cars North America, they set out to do something special
for Reunion V, and that they did. The Exclusive Department unveiled
this very chassis at the historic Laguna Seca Raceway in September
2015. Porsche planned a limited production of 25 cars manufactured
to commemorate the success of Rennsport and exemplify the
excitement these reunions provide and that we all anticipate.
Based on the 991 Carrera GTS, these Rennsport Edition examples were
assembled all alike and fitted with tasteful touches. Exclusive
chose the PTS Fashion Grey, which is a beloved 356 color, set off
with black and red race-like striping and script. The high-gloss
Sport Classic-like wheels accentuated the elegant lines of the 991.
Inside, leather, carbon fiber, and model designations abound, set
off with Carmine accents. This resulted in a stunning presentation;
the choices Porsche Exclusive made have created a rare and most
likely collectible model.
Boasting 430 horsepower from the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat
six with 0-60 times as low as 4.2 seconds and track speeds as high
as 190 miles per hour. It's perhaps ideal timing for this special
car as talk began of the turbocharged second generation 991. It was
nice planning by Porsche to hold to low production at a time of
transition knowing these manual transmission, rear-wheel drive,
naturally aspirated 991s will always be coveted by collectors and
enthusiasts alike as they phase out. To date these 25 Rennsport
Reunion Carrera GTS models are the most rare and most challenging
991 to obtain.
As you would expect, this particular Rennsport GTS comes to you
with everything it was delivered with when new; its completion date
was July 30, 2015. That allowed Porsche two months to use this car
for marketing photo shoots and other promotions to prepare for its
debut on September 27, 2015 at Rennsport Reunion V.
