Frame-off restoration Cummins 5.9L 12 valve Turbo Diesel engine
4-wheel drive Cadillac Escalade custom leather seats Custom

Chevrolet Suburban was frame-off restored and repowered with a
Cummins Diesel Engine some years ago. According to the last owner
it was restored by Midstate Auto Restoration which is in Mesa, AZ.
This appears to be a well thought out and quality restoration as
you can see by the pictures. It is really nicely done and only has
around 4,000 miles driven since being completed. It is a great
combination of a Vintage looking SUV with a modern drivetrain and
interior. This was a frame-off restoration and was completely gone
through top to bottom with everything addressed. The craftsmanship
is top notch and it was well thought out. The body is exceptional
on this truck with only some minor stone chips and marks from
driving. Very very clean and all of the panels are metal and nice
and straight. The paint looks fantastic and was professionally
applied. Definitely a top notch paint job. All of the chrome an
stainless is excellent and they also added the Escalade Running
Boards to match the interior. They also added a steel cowl hood
which looks great! Take a look at the underside pictures and you
will see the quality of the build and how nice this rig really is.
The interior was also completely restored, is custom, and looks
excellent. They completely stripped the inside and added new
carpet, new headliner, dew dash, custom console, new door panels,
Escalade Captains chairs front and rear with shoulder seat belts
(working electric seats), custom sound system with Navigation,
Power Windows in the front, and they made sure everything was
working including gauges, heat, wipers, horn, etc. Really nicely
done!! Mechanically this Suburban is really cool with engine
upgrade of the 5.9L Cummins Diesel Engine. The builder of this rig
took a lot of time to install this and make it look factory....it
is very well done. The 5.9L Diesel is the highly desired 6BT
because it is the most reliable pre-emissions diesel. Supposedly
this engine was a newer crate engine, but we have no way to prove
it. It certainly appears to be new. They mated it to the 700R4 OD
Automatic Transmission with The NP205 Transfer case and custom
driveshafts. It has a 12 Bolt Rear End and the Front End is a DANA
44 with Disc Brakes. Both Axles were gone through at the time of
restoration. All of this is sitting on a 3 Inch Lift with new
Yokohama 33 Inch Tires mounted on Rally Rims. Contact Shep with
