Vehicle Description
1969 Ford Mustang GT Convertible For Sale - Nut And Bolt Rotisserie
Restoration LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1969 Ford
Mustang GT Convertible In 1969, Ford built nearly 300,000 Mustangs.
Of those, 14,598 of them were convertibles, 50 of which were
equipped with Q-code 428 Cobra Jet engines. Of those, this is one
of only 20 equipped with a 4-speed, one of nine with the GT package
and one of only two painted in Raven Black. As per the Marti
report, this rare Mustang was sold new at Ed Schmid Ford Inc. in
Ferndale, Michigan on July 17th, 1969 to its first owner. It was
ordered as it sits today in the highly collectible and ultra rare
factory Raven Black exterior with a standard black interior, black
manual top with black boot, electric clock, AM radio and power
steering. The massive Q-code 428 Cobra Jet engine is backed by a
factory close-ratio Toploader 4 speed and 9-inch rear end is
supported by staggered shocks designed to dampen wheel hop during
hard acceleration. This factory GT convertible is also equipped
with the front spoiler, center console, bucket seats with headrests
and period-correct "no size" Goodyear Polyglas tires. Upon
completion of a nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration, this Raven
Black Cobra Jet GT convertible has been driven only a test miles
since completion. The Q-code 428 Cobra Jet engine has been
correctly detailed with Ford Corporate Blue paint, chrome
air-cleaner lid, finned-aluminum valve covers, factory-style hoses
and clamps, color-coded vacuum hoses and original finishes for all
metal components. As with other muscle cars built in the period,
convertibles with high performance engine packages have always been
the most sought-after by collectors due to their low production
numbers. This 428 Cobra Jet convertible is no exception with only
50 ever produced, only 20 with a 4-speed transmission and only 2 in
the most collectible factory color of all, Raven black. Additional
