Why This Vehicle is Special
The 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, like the one we have here at Skyway
Classics, was a performance-oriented option package of the Ford
Mustang only available in the 'Sports Roof' body style.
According to the Build Tag this awesome 1969 Mach 1 351 was built
with the following door data and optional equipment: M - Optional
351 V8 290 horsepower, 63C - Mustang Mach 1 Sports Roof, T5 - Ford
Candy Apple Red, 3D - Red Mach 1 Knitted Vinyl, S - 3.25
Traction-Lok Axle, 6 - 4-speed Manual Transmission.
It had these options: F70x14 Tires with raised white letter tires,
Power front disc brakes, Power steering, and a current Pioneer
Radio with the original in a box in the trunk.
Mechanical
It has the correct black scooped hood covering the WINDSOR 351
cubic inch, 4-barrel, 290 horsepower V8 connected to a 4-speed
manual transmission w/HURST console shifter, Traction Loc rear end,
Dual headlights, F&R spoilers, MACH 1 stripe package, dual
sport mirrors & side scoops, and quad tip exhaust that it came
with.
Exterior
The Mach 1 started with a 'Sports Roof' body and added numerous
visual and performance enhancing items such as matte black hood
treatment with hood pins, hood scoop (including optional Shaker
scoop), competition suspension, chrome pop-open gas cap, revised
wheels with performance tires, chrome exhaust tips, deluxe
interior, livery and dealer optional chin spoiler, rear deck
spoiler, and rear window louvers (Sport Slats).
The exterior is laser straight, rust free, and solid panels. The
recent restoration included a dual stage, period correct, re-paint
in Candy Apple Red.
Interior
Open the door see for yourself this period correct original
interior with red bucket seats w/knit vinyl, molded door panels &
red floor mats incorporated into the carpet, transports one back to
the 60's.
It has an upgraded AM/FM/CASSETTE radio, center console w/armrest,
rim blow steering wheel & bright pedal pads complete that 60's
look, optional Power Steering & Power front disc brakes adds to
your driving experience.
