BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this GTO is clean, straight, and solid.
Having been kept in a private collection for several years, it is
no surprise that this GTO is as straight as it is. You won't
believe how solid this Pontiac is! Even the black vinyl top is in
great shape! But wait, there's more! In the trunk you'll find a
fifth honeycomb wheel with restored jack components.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Said to have been repainted once, the
gorgeous Quezal Gold paint really showcases the unique body styling
of the 1971 GTO. The paint is slick and glossy, and truly looks
fantastic. A classic 1970s Pontiac color, we can't think of a
better choice! After this car was repainted, "The Judge" stripes
were added for a little extra curb appeal.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is largely original, and
believe it or not it has not been restored like the rest of the
car. That's right, the interior is really this nice and original!
With the exception of the added gauge cluster to help monitor
engine oil pressure and temperature, it remains as it was
originally. The black vinyl is in great shape, and a great match to
the exterior color.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood you'll find the famous Pontiac
455V8, and what better engine choice to power a car like this!
Believed to be the original numbers matching engine, it is fresh
off a comprehensive build that included a roller cam, roller
rockers, new crank, new pistons, and more, it is no surprise that
this GTO runs like a bat out of hell. Hooked up to the
numbers-matching, factory correct TH400 3-speed automatic
transmission and a rebuilt rear end with 3.55 gears and Posi-Trac,
this puppy can really put the power to the street. Additionally,
other newer components include shocks, coils, brakes, steering
components, gas tank, brake lines, and transmission lines.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The unique color, polycast wheels,
and of course the engine!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Quezal Gold is a classic color,
but it may not be everyone's cup of tea.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? There are a few small items that do not
currently work, including the horn, wipers, and blower motor.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This is the perfect car to add
to an existing Pontiac/GM collection, or for anyone looking to get
themselves a unicorn!
