Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Clean little sleeper truck ready to hit the street!
With a hopped up 351W, a little bit of lowering, and an AOD
transmission, this puppy is ready to hit the street or strip!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this old F100 has a nice clean
appearance, but this isn't your run of the mill clean old pickup!
The short bed/single cab setup is the preferred combination of
"muscle truck" lovers and we think this one looks great. With the
addition of a slim tonneau cover, shaved rear bumper, sliding rear
window, and brand new US Mags Roadster wheels this truck looks just
right. Look closely and you'll notice there is no fuel door
breaking up the lines on this truck, that's because it has been
moved to the bed along with the new fuel cell under.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The cream paint has a nice shine to it,
and is the perfect level of subtle for a truck like this. It won't
grab your attention like a red truck would, but in this truck
they'll hear you coming! Minus some small bubbles at the bottom of
the driver's side door, and some normal wear marks here and there,
the paint is in good shape and perfect for a vehicle you intend to
use even if there is a chance of rain.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is also in ideal
condition for a weekend warrior: it's not so nice you'll be afraid
to sit in it, but it is nice enough that you'll be able to enjoy it
for years to come. With brand new brown seat covers on the bucket
seats, the interior is both comfortable and attractive! A glance at
the floor reveals the B&M ratchet shifter; perfect for weekend
fun at the drag strip or even for enjoying a drive around town.
Last but not least, a dash mounted tachometer helps you keep things
under control when you're pushing things to the limit!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Subtle outside, but mean underneath. That's
the name of the game, and this truck is a player! Under the hood
sits approximately 400 horsepower Ford 351W V8 with a serious sound
to it. But wait, there's more! Other upgrades include a 4-speed
Ford AOD electronic overdrive transmission, World Product heads,
Crower valve springs, Edelbrock intake and carburetor, Mallory
electronic ignition, and a Street Terminator valve body.
Underneath, you'll find a 4" front drop by DJM lowered dream beam
I-beams, 6" rear drop with Crown suspension flip kit, and a Ford 9"
with Strange 3.73 posi rear gear, all finished off with brand new
drop shocks.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: It's a 400 horsepower 1973 Ford
F100 sleeper. What's not to love?
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're looking for a
leisurely Sunday cruiser, this definitely isn't it.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The new fuel cell addition has made the fuel
gauge not read correctly. It's working, but travels way past full.
Beyond that, the horn is the only other thing that isn't
working.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for a fun and
affordable toy to spice up their weekends!
