collection for a well maintained, true SS Impala that's ready to
pile some friends in and cruise! At the time that the '67 Impala
was introduced, the vehicles that carried the Impala badge were
already well known, and were well loved American cars. To describe
the new for '67 Impala, Chevrolet's marketing department focused on
describing the cars using words like 'stops smoother', 'turns
easier', 'rides steadier', and 'quiet as a church mouse'. We don't
have any clever marketing department, descriptive words - the best
thing to say about this car is that it is an awesome example of a
well kept classic Impala convertible. This car started life as a
Medium Blue (code D) Impala over a Blue interior that rolled off
the Wilmington Delaware assembly line. In 1992 a gentleman who
owned this Impala for about 32 years felt pretty blue about driving
a blue on blue Impala and commissioned a color change to the bright
red over black that you see today. The red over black is a much
more fitting for a sporty Impala SS Convertible in our opinion.
'Coke Bottle' rear quarter panels give the car a muscular look and
Chevy Rally wheels with chrome caps and beauty rings finish off the
look of the exterior. A look down the body of the car reveals that
the body panels are straight and line up just as they should. All
chrome, trim, and lights are in great condition and the convertible
top shows nicely. The underside is solid and is original other than
a rear quarter and the trunk lid being replaced a number of years
ago. The 350ci V8 under the hood features a 4 barrel carburetor
topped with a chrome air cleaner, and aluminum valve covers, along
with power brakes and power steering components. Inside the car is
a tidy interior whose features include bucket seats, a Corvette
badged 3 spoke steering wheel, center console, in dash Toshiba
CD/Stereo, lap belts, and aftermarket wiper delay control. From top
to bottom the interior is in great condition other than one small
tear in the rear bench seat. Otherwise this car is ready to pile in
and take a trip to cars and coffee or out for ice cream. Be sure to
