The 40th anniversary edition celebrated 4 decades of America's
sports car. In addition to a list of unique features it has a
gorgeous color combination. This car has only 21,584 miles and has
been very well cared for.
EXTERIOR: Gorgeous Ruby Red Metallic has a deep shine. It also
features special chrome emblems and ruby red center medallions on
the wheels. The body appears to be in excellent shape. I've just
walked around the car twice and there are no significant flaws. It
is polished beautifully. I did notice there are some hairline
cracks barely noticeable in the paint on the front bumper. The
lenses are all clear, it has halogen fog lamps and headlights. The
glass, rubber and weather strips are excellent. The wheels are all
excellent, no curb rash. It has optional blue tint clear roof.
INTERIOR: Color matched ruby red leather interior. It features dual
power sport seats with 40th embroidery on the headrest. The carpet
looks pristine. It has 40th anniversary embroidered floor mats.
There's no cracks or damage on the dash. Everything is stock right
down to the radio. It has the optional electronic Bose system. It
also has optional electronic climate control. Another option is the
ride control knob on the console. Other features include power
accessories, tilt, lighted vanity mirrors, cruise control and more.
Every thing appears to be working, there are no warning lights
coming on. I think it is exceptionally nice inside compared to
others I've seen. The leather seats have held up exceptionally
well. It was not smoked in. There is still a factory sticker on the
instrument lense and a paper tag on the e-brake handle.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The LT-1 350-300 hp delivers a reliable balance
of power, acceleration and smoothness. The technology includes
multiport injection, aluminum heads and a low profile intake. It's
a very clean engine compartment I don't see anything that looks
modified or messed with. It even has a ruby red 40th anniversary
plaque on top of the intake.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The rear hatch opens by remote. The top securely
locks in place when not on the car. There is a car cover
included.
UNDERSIDE: Very clean, proper, unmolested. The bottom of the motor
and trans are super clean looking. There are still assembly line
markings on the oil pan. The trans is a 700R-4 overdrive automatic.
The rear has an optional performance axle (3.15:1). Standard
features include a sophisticated four wheel independent suspension,
a five link system in back. It has Bosch ABS brakes with vented
rotors. This one has the optional selective Ride and Handling
package which allows the driver a Touring, Sport and Performance
mode. The factory exhaust system is still in excellent condition.
The salesman must have been good because they sold the undercoat
package on a fiberglass car! I guess it does also add sound
deadening.
This is a great looking Vette. I don't see any issues with it,
actually I think it's exceptional. The original window sticker,
build sheet and owner's pouch with manuals are included. This is a
very affordable way to get involved in the Corvette hobby. There
are clubs, shows, judging events and plenty of accessories
available.
