Vehicle Description
This 1987 GMC Sierra 1500 mixes vintage looks, a preserved
personality, and the right features you want - including fuel
injection and air conditioning. It all makes for a distinct classic
pickup with a sporty stepside look.
The gray paint look like a modern color, but it's actually the
factory-correct hue. In fact, this is believed to be the original
factory application. It remains exceptionally shiny, and that's
what you get on a pickup that has averaged less than 1,800 miles
annually. Crisp sheetmetal and bright chrome bumpers give you more
of that great classic feeling. But this is also a sporty stepside
truck, and so it deserves some cool upgrades. This includes bright
15-inch alloys, extra meaty rear tires, and a lowered stance. And
beneath the smooth tonneau cover over the bed is terrific-looking
fresh carpet. While we love the plushness of this, don't forget
that stepside trucks of this era also have the style advantage of
real lumber on the bed floor.
Inside is the tasteful red interior of a loaded pickup. The smooth
dash, nice door panels, plush carpet, and comfy velour seat all
look good in harmonizing shades of bold red. You've got some great
factory features like power windows, a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo,
and factory air conditioning now blowing cold with R134a
refrigerant. These are joined by some nice upgrades like tinted
windows and a pop-out sunroof. The gauge panel wraps around the
driver, and the tilt steering column makes it extra comfy.
Under the hood is proper GM power with the 350 cubic-inch V8. And
because this is a low-mileage machine with plenty of preservation,
it's also great to see that this is the numbers-matching
powerhouse. This V8 is also from the era of fuel-injection. So you
got better power and delivery right from day one. This
well-preserved package fires up nicely and runs great. Power
steering and power brakes with discs up front make driving easy.
These even came with a four-speed transmission w/highway-friendly
overdrive. And the cruising attitude is furthered by the dual fuel
tank and cruise control options.
This loaded and preserved GMC comes complete with some great
paperwork, including the original window sticker, owner's manual
packet, and maintenance records. It all makes for a cool stepside
that also respects its history. Call today!!!
