1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL!!
It's truly amazing to me that a car, any car, from 1987 can drive
the way this beautiful 560SL drives. Quiet, solid, tight, strong, I
simply can't get over the way this Benz drives having been built
over 33 years ago! It's remarkable.
Finished in Pearl Grey Metallic we'd call the paint on this car
very nice. The paint has a nice depth, a great shine and is very
consistent around this roadster. Sure, there is an occasional flaw
but nothing all that obvious. The interior of the car is 100
percent original and we'd call it very, very good. The pictures are
an accurate representation.
This is a two-top car, the original hardtop is beautiful and
accents the car quite nicely. The convertible top is black canvas,
has been replaced and is in great shape.
This 560 has been fully serviced in our shop, runs and drives
beautifully and the air conditioning is working and cold. The
gentleman who traded this car to us owned it for a long time and
obviously loved it and cared for it.
With an odometer that is showing 44K miles, we'd believe it by the
condition of the car top, bottom in and out but we know from the
long time previous owner that those pesky speedo gears gave up the
ghost a couple of years ago- he told us he didn't add many miles
over the last few years and based on our observations we believe
this to be a sub 50K Benz but since we fixed the gears in the
odometer we will be selling this car true mileage unknown. In our
opinion, there are two kinds of 560SL's out there- those with
plastic odometer gears that have been fixed and disclosed and those
with gears that were fixed and not disclosed. Having said that, if
you see it and drive it you will know that this is a true low
mileage 560. Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it
as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it
yours.
